How To Prepare For A Facial

Skip any at home treatments a week before your scheduled facial appointment with the Beautii Experts. Avoid any exfoliating products and active ingredients 4-5 prior to your reservation.

  • During your facial, your esthetician will choose between a chemical, enzyme peel or ultrasonic exfoliation depending on your skin type and concern. You should avoid active ingredients such as retinol, glycolic and salicylic acid. These treatments and ingredients can cause over-sensitivity if used in the days leading up to your facial.

Bring your skin products, questions and concerns with you.

  • It is helpful to bring all the skincare product’s you are using, on a daily basis. This makes it easier for you to explain exactly when and how you are using the products and if any products need to be swapped out based on your esthetician’s recommendations.

Arrive early.

  • Don’t rush and expect to proceed into a relaxing facial. Also, there are forms and procedures that are done during check-in, arriving Walt will help to expedite the process.

Come with makeup or don't.

  • Either way, your esthetician will perform a pre-cleanse as part of your facial treatment.

Be mindful of your time.

  • Seasonally, having deep exfoliation treatments or peels should be done during the fall and winter months when you’re less exposed to the sun. These treatments take off a few layers of skin and too much sun during these treatments can lead to more pigmentation.

  • If you have an event to attend, schedule your reservation 4 weeks in advance with a follow up treatment 1-2 weeks before your event date. This way if there are any concerns that come up after your facials we can address.

Wear comfortable clothing and hydrate.

  • We recommend a top you can change in and out of and pants that are comfortable. You will be laying on your back for about an hour, be sure to drink water before you arrive.

Relax.

  • Turn off your phone and enjoy your service.
